Gold in the Joint Venture Promotion
The 10th annual Australasian Promotional Products Association (APPA) Awards for Promotional Products Excellence were held in Sydney in March 2009. PromotionalWorld won two Gold Awards for their Fowlers Machinery Umbrellas in two categories.
Entries to the awards are open to all New Zealand and Australian APPA members and are judged by distinguished members of the media and marketing communities.
Here is what the Judges said:
- Technically the printing on the umbrella and the detail is exceptional.
- Four Panels that are completely individualised including detailed replicas of the machinery,
and is still subtle with so many logos to represent.
- The manipulation of the artwork and quality of the product is high for it's cost.
- A highly creative solution to a difficult & vague brief.
- The success is even greater because many non-member promotional companies told the client
their brief could not be accomplished.

2005 - Gold in the Tradeshow & Conference Programs for CB Builders Bag
- Silver in the Joint Venture Promotion
We walked away with Gold in the Tradeshow and Conference Program category and Silver in the Supplier & Distributor Joint Venture Promotion in the APPA Pyramid Awards for the most successful and creative promotions in the Australasian region for 2005.
APPA reported that we created and developed an extremely versatile two-fold conference bag. It not only held various promotional materials but also converted into a sturdy tool bag that could be used on a daily basis after the conference.
What the judges said:
- A bag of high quality, well constructed and inventive design.
- Multipurpose function at conference and then used at work.
- Perfectly targeted to the recipients.
- Appropriate tie-in with client's image and well executed print job.
- 100% creative from the promotions company
- Product will well outlive the conference
- Adopted by the company as a retail item due to its success at the conference.
